Museum Pamphlets Beginning Typography
Brief: Design a series of three pamphlets that present the work of three assigned artists. Imagine these pamphlets are for an upcoming museum exhibition.
My Approach: The artists I was assigned were all primarily photographic: Batia Suter, Petra Stavast, and Martin Parr. So, that immediately lent to a simpler layout and typographic system that would not draw attention away from their works. My goal was to create a cohesive system across all three pamphlets while still giving each artist their own distinct style. Having a strict typographic system and defined layout across all three made them cohesive, and giving each a unique and bold color scheme and display typeface for their name allowed them each to have their own voice.
